Avengers: late game writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely want to take the pen to write another superhero movie. Only this time, they want to make a Superman movie. The duo of writers has been part of six highly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. This includes Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. After successfully experimenting with superhero movies, the duo is ready to take on the project and this time, they are interested in trying the Man of Steel.
There have been some Superman movies. The recent man of steel, released in 2013. The film was directed by Zack Snyder and featured Henry Cavill dressed in the red cape. Since then there have been discussions about Man of Steel 2, but the ball has not started.
Endgame writers want to pen a new Superman movie
In the midst of this, Markus and McFeely admitted that they were interested in writing a Superman movie. Speaking to Screen Rant, the duo of writers not only expressed interest, but also said that a Superman movie could be treated as a Captain America movie. “I mean, I think Captain America shows that there are certainly ways to make a very good Superman movie on this day,” McFeely replied. “You don’t have to mess it up, you don’t have to get rid of its seriousness. I’m a great person: Christopher Reeve Superman is one of my favorite movies. So that’s one of the ones we always borrow all the time.”
It would be interesting to see if Warner Bros and DC Films would pay attention to the Avengers: the interest of Endgame writers in the study has treated Superman differently in recent years. Director Snyder decided to give the Man of Steel a dark advantage, an arc that was addressed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. But WB might consider winding up and giving Superman a face lift for Markus and McFeely, he has no future projects for Marvel Studios, according to Comicbook.com.
