It’s been almost two years since the Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj movie was announced. The movie recently hit the ground in London. Tentatively titled D40, this film is produced by Sashikanth, who had distributed Dhanush’s The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir.

Actor Dhanush, who is currently filming for the still untitled film of Karthik Subbaraj in London, took time to meet some fans who gathered at the scene of the shooting. A video of the actor almost harassed by his fans has gone viral.

The video shows him surrounded by his fans who gathered to watch the shooting. Most of them are children with their parents and relatives. In the video, Dhanush is seen walking towards the fans and shaking hands with each of them.

The project, which is currently called D40, marks the first collaboration of Dhanush and Karthik and is being funded by S Sashikanth of YNOT Studios. With the intention of being an action thriller, the film will be shot entirely in London. The team will complete the project on a long calendar in the United Kingdom.

Aishwarya Lekshmi has signed to play the female protagonist in the movie. Earlier this week, the creators announced that they had cornered Games of Thrones and the famous Braveheart actor, James Cosmo, for a pivotal role in the film.

It is rumored that James plays the antagonist in the movie. It is worth mentioning that Subbaraj had originally planned to corner Al Pacino for the role. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get dates from actor Scarface.

The creators have not yet revealed the rest of the cast and crew. Meanwhile, Dhanush has a busy year with an interesting line of projects.

Last seen playing a local ruffian in Maari 2, Dhanush will be seen playing a daily salaried worker in Asuran, which will be released on October 2. Produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the motto of V Creations, the film has music by GV Prakash Kumar.

Dhanush also has Durata Senthil Kumar directed by Pataas, which will be launched in Diwali. The film features Dhanush in dual roles and co-stars Mehreen Pirzada and Sneha.

In December, Dhanush will work on a fantasy comedy project with director Ramkumar, whose latest presentation was critically acclaimed Ratsasan. Dhanush also has a few days of filming for Vada Chennai 2, which he hopes to complete by the end of this year.

D40 has malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi making her Tamil debut. In addition, the creators have cornered James Cosmo, the star of Game of Thrones (who played Jeor Mormont in the series) to rehearse the antagonist in the film.
