Veteran filmmaker J Om Prakash died in Mumbai on Wednesday morning. I was 93 years old. The news was confirmed by actor Deepak Parashar, who cried to J Om Prakash in a tweet just one hour after the filmmaker’s death: “My dear uncle, Mr. J Om Prakash passed away about an hour ago. So sad when he unite his friend, my mamaji, Mr. Mohan Kumar in the sky! His contributions to the Indian cinema are a gift that they left us! He took this photo a few months ago when I went to see him! Om Shanti! “Director Mohan Kumar, who died in 2017, was Deepak Parashar’s maternal uncle.
Amitabh Bachchan was one of the first celebrities of the film fraternity to remember J Om Prakash as “director of eminence.” He posted this tweet:

Did Prakash direct successful films like Akhir Kyon? and Aap Ki Kasam. As a producer, Prakash backed films, such as Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke, Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Aaye Din Bahar Ke and Aankhon Aankhon Mein. He also served as President of the Indian Film Federation from 1995 to 1996.
In early June, before the launch of Super 30, Hrithik thanked his “nanny” for “the lessons he has taught me at every stage of my life.”
J Om Prakash, the majority of whose movie titles started with ‘A’, is best known for directing films like Aap Ki Kasam (1974), Aakhir Kyon? (1985), Arpan (1983), Apna Bana Lo (1982), Aasha (1980) and Apnapan (1977). He directed Rajesh Khanna in his debut film Aap Ki Kasam, which is recorded in our minds for his touching music: Jai, Jai Shiv Shankar and Zindagi Ke Safar, composed by RD Burman. J Om Prakash worked with Jeetendra in Aadmi Khilona Hai (1993).
As producer, J Om Prakash has successful films such as Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke (1969), Ayee Milan Ki Bela (1964), Aaye Din Bahar Ke (1966) and Aankhon Aankhon Mein (1972) to his credit.
