Patna: The state government on Monday issued show cause notices to several officials, including 11 engineers of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO), regarding water logging in Bihar’s capital Patna. In this case, it is now being expected that there may be a fall on some engineers. A high level meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in which the water logging situation was intensely discussed after the excessive rainfall in Patna. This decision was taken after that.
It was also considered in the meeting that such a situation does not arise in future. After this meeting that lasted more than four hours, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar told reporters that many people have been suspended, while many have been issued show cause notices. He informed that show-cause notices have been issued to 11 engineers of BUIDCO. He informed that an engineer has been transferred.
Deepak Kumar said that “A committee under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner has been constituted, which will comprise of officials of several departments. This committee will report the entire situation within a month, after which the government will take further action. Now more officials But the sky can fall. ”
The chief secretary further said, “Four sanitary inspectors from Kankarbagh and two from Pataliputra have been suspended. Besides, 22 employees working at the pumping stations have also been issued show cause notices for their duty. Clarification has also been sought from two executive engineers of Patna Municipal Corporation.
