The iPhone will be at the forefront and center in Apple’s next media presentation, even when the California tech giant intensifies its efforts in content and services for its devices. In its characteristic style of closed lips, Apple revealed little about its plans for Tuesday’s event at its headquarters in the city of Cupertino in Silicon Valley. For years, Apple has organized events in the fall to launch new iPhone models before the holiday shopping season.
It is speculated that Apple will present three improved iPhones, including the “Pro” models, and a successor to its more affordable iPhone XR ₹ 58,490, since premium phone prices are around $ 1,000 (approximately Rs. 71,500).
“We could see what Apple looks like as a company when they talk about services and hardware as a single product.”
Some analysts say services, subscriptions and online content will share the stage with the company’s dazzling hardware while Apple seeks to change its focus.
“I think it will be the first year that the event will also be about services,” said Carolina Milanesi, Creative Strategies analyst.
Milanesi was curious to see if Tuesday’s presentation includes iPhone offers that “bundle” music, television or games with new phones.
“You have the opportunity to add value to the hardware with the services,” Milanesi said.
China wild card
Analysts warn that Apple still faces challenges as rivals escape the smartphone market, in which the iPhone’s share is less than 12 percent.
As the iPhone manufacturer perfects their phones, other manufacturers are pushing new areas such as 5G devices and folding smartphones.
China accounts for approximately 17 percent of Apple’s sales in general and has huge room for growth, according to Techsponential analyst Avi Greengart.
Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives said in a note to investors that he expected a “iPhone 11s trifecta” that will help the company “put a fence” to its user base.
According to Ives, about a third of the 900 million iPhone users worldwide are in an update “window”, which means great potential for the sale of phones.
“While China is still a wild card, we are optimistic about Apple’s future” in the next year, Ives said.
The trade war between the United States and China has complicated Apple’s effort to gain ground in that market, where local Titan’s earnings from Huawei have been partly at the expense of the California-based company.
“Apple needs Chinese consumers to treat the iPhone as a preferred premium brand at a complicated geopolitical time,” Greengart said.
“The premium sales of Huawei’s smartphones, laptops and tablets have increased in China, partly due to nationalism in response to the trade war with the United States and the specific actions of the United States government against Huawei.”
TV+ turned on?
Apple recently launched a smartphone generation credit card in the US. UU. And he is eager to launch his TV + broadcast service before Disney comes into operation with a rival service in November.
Many wonder if the launch of Apple TV + will be one of Tuesday’s announcements.
Apple managed to increase its overall revenue, although by a modest one percent, to $ 53.8 billion, even when iPhone revenues fell almost 12 percent in the period from April to June.
With Hollywood stars in abundance, Apple unveiled video streaming plans along with news and game subscription offers as part of an effort to shift its focus to digital content and services to free itself from its dependence on iPhone sales .
The company also plans to launch a new game subscription service called Apple Arcade internationally by the end of this year.
The company generated strong growth from digital content and services that include Apply Pay and Apple Music, along with portable accessories and accessories such as Apple Watch and Air Pods.
Some of those accessories may also receive updates on Tuesday.
