After a long wait, John Abraham finally turned to Twitter to announce the release of the sequel to his police drama Satyameva Jayate. The next movie will be an independent sequel. The actor wrote: “# SatyamevaJayate2 to be released on October 2, 2020!” It should be noted that Satyameva Jayate 2 was scheduled to arrive on the screens on August 15, 2020.

The sequel to the watchdog action movie John Abraham-starrer Satyameva Jayate will premiere on October 2, 2020, the creators said in a statement. The film will clash with the Shoojit Sircar era drama, Sardar Udham Singh, starring Vicky Kaushal as the titular hero, as well as with the Rambo remake of Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo, starring Tiger Shroff at the helm.

Satyameva Jayate 2 was scheduled to hit the screens on August 15, 2020, along with Abhishek Dudhaiya Bhuj: The Pride of India’s war drama.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T Series), Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani (Emmay Entertainment), the sequel will see filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar return to acting. Divya will play the protagonist of the film, the statement confirms.

The first film told the story of a policeman (Monoj Bajpayee), who was entrusted with the task of catching a person named Vir (John), who is in a wave of murders of corrupt police officers. Both Bajpayee and John fight for the same reason, but they are divided by law. The movie hit theaters on Independence Day 2018 and had the best opening day for a movie rated A. Despite raising Rs 103.21 crore nationwide, the film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.

Bhushan says: “Emmay and T-Series have become a family and our partnership together has always been fruitful. Satyameva Jayate was a blockbuster, and making the second game with Milap and John was a guessing game. And everything better for Divya, who has joined the team with this one. ”

Nikkhil adds: “After the blockbuster Satyameva Jayate, we are very happy and pleased to bring Satyameva Jayate 2 to the public with Emmay and T-Series teams.”

Milap Milan Zaveri, who also directed the original film, will return to the director’s chair with continuation. The director will start working on Satyameva Jayate 2 after the release of his next film, Marjaavaan. With Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria, Marjaavaan will launch on November 8.

The film will clash with the Shoojit Sircar era drama, Sardar Udham Singh, starring Vicky Kaushal as the titular hero. It will also collide with the new Hindi version of the new Rambo version of Sylvester Stallone in India, starring Tiger Shroff in the lead.
